Afterfall: Insanity is nothing short of a direct assault on the post-apocalyptic RPG niche from the Polish development team at Nicolas Entertainment Group, with mastodons Fallout and Stalker at the helm. But in fact the gamemakers have got a typical action-shooter, with the camera from behind the right shoulder of the protagonist and painfully clumsy gameplay. The plot came out quite interesting, though, even with unexpected twists and turns. The scope of the local linestory is breathtaking in its enormity. The events unfolding in 2012 began back in World War II. An alternate history tells us that the Soviet Army, even with the support of the Allies from the United States, was unable to defeat Germany. In the end, these three pillars of world politics have somehow managed to coexist to this day, albeit not without conflict. However, the patience of the above-mentioned states burst after all, and dozens of nuclear warheads flew in three directions. Meanwhile, while the superpowers were measuring their authority in weapons and power, small and inconspicuous Poland built the most progressive bomb shelters, anticipating nuclear war. The "dugouts" deployed across the country have become sanctuaries for millions of human resources. After a series of bombings, the historyline switches to Albert Tokai, a psychologist who has been treating the inhabitants of a dungeon suffering from "isolation syndrome" for years. Peaceful and relatively peaceful life in the shelter is interrupted by the fact that someone decided to spray a dangerous virus on the lower levels of the bunker. A rapidly spreading disease turns people into aggressive psychopaths, so being in the "dugout" is no less dangerous than being on the surface. Protagonist Albert Tokai leaves the asylum to solve the problem.
