Cossacks Back to War, also known as Cossacks: Back to War, is a legendary strategy game developed by Ukrainian game developer GSC Game World. The game is designed to continue the traditional RTS series, and its action takes place between the 17th and 18th centuries. Gameplay here can be considered canonical: at the beginning of the single-player campaign, the player takes direct control of one state of his choice, forms a camp and gradually turns it into a paramilitary settlement. The basis of gameplay is to build up military power for further battles with the enemies. This is facilitated by the so-called resources, which are divided into 6 types: wood, food, coal, gold, iron and stone. Each resource in the add-on Again the War for the first part of the Cossacks is obtained in a unique way. So, for example, to get gold, coal or iron, the player will have to refurbish a mine and send some workers there. Food, in turn, is produced by the peasants who toil in the fields and fish. It is not hard to guess where the farmhands get their wood and stone. This addon allows the user to play as new factions. In addition to the canonical 18 countries, the developers have added two brand new states to the game, namely Hungary and Switzerland. Along with the two countries, new units have been added, one unique to each side of the conflict. By the way, all the units are recruited, as before, in the places of construction of certain buildings: the fleet - in the Port, the infantry - in the Barracks, the cavalry - in the Stables, and so on.
