The plot of the game is based on the confrontation of three opposing factions. Power between them can not divide the angels, demons and the independent dead, calling themselves nothing other than the Souls of Purgatory. By joining one of these sides of the conflict, the protagonist receives factional bonuses and a unique linstory. It is worth noting that the plots of each of the three campaigns are not identical, but overlap in some places. Angels want to end the endless war and do everything possible to make peace reign in this universe. Demons, on the other hand, intend to enslave everything and everyone, while the Souls of Purgatory want to create their own kingdom of the dead.
