Fallout 76 is a multiplayer-oriented action shooter with role-playing elements that grew out of the multiplayer mode of the fourth installment of the game of the same name, which was subsequently cut out before its release itself. Players will take on the role of the inhabitants of bunker 76. The latter, in turn, was created to restore the human race after a terrible cataclysm. One server can hold about 24 people. It is noteworthy that in the world of the game there will be no computer-controlled characters or NPCs, as well as the ability to play alone in offline mode. Online mode for 24 players includes co-op, where players are grouped into groups of 4. In total, in the world of the game are simultaneously six factions that can both contribute to each other, and fight with each other. Fallout 76 differs from its predecessors in that the world in which the events will unfold is a vast wasteland with not a hint of built cities and no human activity. Players will have to leave the asylum and revive the wasteland personally.
