Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers 20th is timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the legendary quest, known to several generations of gamers. Remaster got a full three-dimensional perspective and high-resolution support, improved textures and animation. Also the developers have slightly simplified the gameplay, adapting it to the modern kazuals. Some puzzles have been redesigned, others have been replaced altogether. The updated project will appeal to both seasoned experts in the franchise, and those unfamiliar with it neophytes.

The story centers on a writer named Gabriel Knight. He investigates a series of crimes, with clear traces of the voodoo cult. Initially the protagonist undertook it in the hope to get material for a book, but then he realized that the sectarians' activity touched his own fate. A man travels through Africa, Germany, and New Orleans, where he learns more and more about the Shadow Slayers, a special lineage of which he is heir. Several alternative endings are provided, depending on the decisions made by the user.

Gameplay is a solid point-and-click with interesting puzzles and non-trivial storytelling. The first in the series, the game also includes the original soundtrack with enhanced sound quality and other bonus content.
