Haunted House Mysteries combines several genres: it is a quest, a hybrid of horror and detective, and a collection of mini-games of different types. The plot is based on a mystical story: a now abandoned mansion was previously inhabited by the family of Edward Russell, a famous archaeologist. 18 years into the game, an incident occurs at the manor in which all of the inhabitants part with their lives. They never found the culprit, but locals say spirits are to blame.

Nancy Evans, the heroine of the narrative, specializes in the paranormal and its effect on society. She wasn't planning on getting involved in another investigation, but the girl's aunt, who she's visiting during her vacation, lives very close to the mysterious building, and curiosity got the upper hand.

Together with an expert in superstition, the player will explore the cursed house and its environs, solve dozens of puzzles and take part in arcade mini-games, interact with ghosts and other supernatural creatures.
