Papers, Please is Lucas Pope's phenomenal project. The game is monotonous, boring and not popular with a huge audience. However, this is in no way a flaw, but simply an identity that hides an incredibly interesting, exciting, and challenging product in terms of moral choices. Here is an atypical simulation of a civil servant at the new checkpoint of Arstotsky, a state in which totalitarianism reigns supreme. The atmosphere of dystopia, pressure and endless oppression will become your constant companion in your position. The protagonist of Papers, Please is a very ordinary man in the world who was simply lucky to win his workplace in the October Lottery. The events of the game will unfold in October 1982. This period will be a landmark in the life of our protagonist and his family. However, how iconic it will be depends on how competently and carefully you do your job, and the work we have on the one hand seems to be simple, on the other - not so, with its nuances and pitfalls. You are a doomsayer and you have power, albeit a small amount of it. You have the power to make a person find a better life, or vice versa, become fertilizer for the lands under totalitarian control. The gameplay is painfully simple and straightforward. You are a customs officer who sits in his work booth and checks the passports of everyone who intends to cross the Arstotzka border, whether they are coming or going, it does not matter. Every single day your work will be updated with new directives, rules and conditions. Each day the check will tighten up, but don't forget that you're actually free to decide whether or not a person should go on. Moral choice and acting are two fundamental parts of the gameplay.
