Section 8 is a first-person shooter in which you will take control of Captain Unit 8. They are called insane, because they have enhanced exoskeletons. The story is about the struggle between the ARM of Orion and the Empire of the United States. The main character, Alexander Kord, and his subordinates can storm the planet, jumping in exoskeletons from orbit without causing damage to themselves. Their armor can withstand hits and blasts from missiles, machine gun fire, and has an energy shield. All enemies also have strong exoskeletons, but the equipment of the main and allied secondary characters is much better.

In Section 8 you will fight against enemies, reclaim territories on different planets, besiege enemy bases and fight in cities against infantry from ARM of Orion. In addition to reinforced armor, Paragraph 8 soldiers will be able to fit their suit with turrets, tanks and even technology that allows them to increase their jump to travel great distances and increase their running speed.

Once you increase your running speed to get through enemy defenses, you will not be able to use firearms or plasma weapons. Gameplay does not have a bar with the life of the protagonist. Instead, you will notice various damage on the armor, which can take damage even when the energy shield is on.
