Spelunky is a hardcore platformer with horny elements, released in 2009 for the X-Box, but just four years later the game visited the PC platform as well. This game is a perfect compilation of Indiana Jones and other treasure hunter movie clichés. The main game mode is an adventure in which the player has to complete 16 random, fully destructible two-dimensional levels. The essence of gameplay is to loot as much gold as possible, and at the end to fight with the god Almek and, of course, defeat him. It is worth saying right away that getting to God will not be easy, because the enemies encountered in the location, and traps, rapidly kills the protagonist. After each death, the player is forced to start the game from the beginning, unless he has opened the so-called "shortcuts" before his death, of which there are only 3 in the game, and they allow you to continue the game from a certain point. The core gameplay of Spelunky is classic platforming, with all the conventions that come with it. The main character runs, jumps, squats, looks around, clings to ledges, climbs ropes, crushes enemies by jumping on their heads and, of course, whips them with his trademark whip. At the same time, the mechanics of movement is executed at a very good level: all movements are fast, without excessive inertia and with a high level of control. In addition to the usual abilities, the protagonist has bombs and ropes. First you can blow something or someone up, and a rope will help you get out of a tricky situation. The game world consists of 16 levels - 4 stages with 4 locations each. Zones are randomly generated, making each run unique.
