The events of Subnautica Below Zero, a full-fledged and standalone add-on to the open-world action-adventure-survival of the same name, are set in the vast expanses of the Arctic, on the planet 4546B. This time the player will have to get acquainted not only with new difficulties that may come upon him while exploring this biome, but also with a new protagonist. The latter is a girl named Robin Goodall.

The main feature of this add-on is the most detailed world, which is an underwater habitat. Unlike the original, the DLC has no map, but there is a deep and intriguing story, detailed gameplay and terrific atmosphere. It's all based on the Unity game engine, which provides the game with stunning image quality and realistic physics.

According to the local historyline, the main character mentioned above, Robin Goodall, was sent by Alterra from Vesper Station to the planet 4546B, for the purpose of exploring it, gathering information and transferring it back to the station. To achieve her goal, the protagonist can use a new vehicle that can move both on solid ground and on water.
