Tembo the Badass Elephant is a funny platformer where the user will play as an elephant reminiscent of retro action heroes. According to the backstory, Shell City is attacked by the terrorist organization Phantom, which the National Guard is unsuccessfully trying to counter. The army's only remaining hope is Tambo, at the start of the story on a top-secret mission in the jungle. He draws stripes on his face, puts on a bandana, and sets out to take out the villains. The game skillfully combines side-scroller, puzzle and beat'em up elements to produce an explosive cocktail that takes 4-6 hours to complete.

The campaign is divided into 17 levels, each with its own scenery, puzzles and enemies. The latter are getting stronger and stronger: while in the first zones they are unarmed, towards the end they carry grenade launchers and spiked shields. In addition to exterminating scum, the gamer collects nuts and other bonus items, splashes water from his trunk to put out fires and literally grow platforms, learns new skills and tricks. Graphics resemble an animated comic book with a nice palette and high-quality animation, abundant but not annoying special effects. And several difficulty modes allow both the casual and the fan of the genre to enjoy the gameplay on the conditions that suit him.
