X-Blades is a three-dimensional action game in which everything happens in third person.

During the game, the player takes the role of an amazing heroine named Ayumi. A girl goes in search of valuable artifacts, through which she can lift the curse and overcome the forces of darkness. The plot of the game is non-linear, whereby the decisions made will lead the main character to one of two possible endings (to take the side of good or evil).

A total of about forty stages must be completed in X-Blades. Out of curiosity, it's worth noting that there are many treasures hidden in each location. The literate game is based almost entirely on the need to exterminate hordes of demons in the area. The main character uses mainly two powerful swords to destroy enemies. Interestingly, these items can also be used as firearms because of their unique functions. This makes them equally effective in direct confrontations, as well as when trying to attack from a distance.
